When is more better? Well, it’s when you can enjoy two different wine tasting experiences in two different places! Charlie and Michael Havill’s Bella Grace Vineyards offers two totally different experiences, both offering great wines and down home hospitality. One, set in the gold rush town of Sutter Creek, offers a true and quaint tasting room right out of the 1860’s. There you’ll not only enjoy winemaker Michael Havill’s vino, but olive oils and many snacks and gifts to brighten up your day, and your pallet. On pleasant days in the spring and summer, you’ll find welcoming events, live music and gourmet goodies to enjoy on the Sutter Creek grounds. Bring your own beach chair or a blanket, or enjoy the outside deck to just sit, sip, relax and watch the people strolling down Sutter Creek's historic main street!!
If you’re in the Plymouth area and tasting in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, don’t forget to stop by Bella Grace’s hillside tasting room, or should I say tasting cave? There you’ll find the same great wines and a fantastic view of the many vineyards that dot the hills along Steiner Road. Did I mention the wines...well how about this! Michael’s 2010 Old Vine Zinfandel took Double Gold and Best Amador Zinfandel at the 2013 Fair Competition, and her 2010 Barbera and 2011 Grenache Blanc were awarded Double Gold 98 pts and Best of California at the 2012 California State Fair! When you combine the wines, hospitality and the two different experiences, well…you have one great time to look forward to!!
